nobody can save you but yourself and you’re worth saving. it’s a war not easily won but if anything is worth winning then this is it.
- Charles Bukowski
We owe it to ourselves to do anything we can to improve out lives
If we find ourselves in a position where we aren't where we want to be, then nothing else should matter but finding a way to get back on track.
Stop giving attention to things that aren’t going to help.
Like your country’s politics.
That snide comment from your relative.
Your friend’s relationship problems.
All that useless celebrity gossip.
Instead of using these distractions as excuses to relax, redirect that focus inward.
Sit down, take out your journal and plan out the steps needed to rectify your situations.
Most people aren't willing to do this, and that's precisely why we see so many stuck in mediocrity.
Most people, rather than facing their problems head-on, would prefer to scroll through Instagram, TikTok, or Reddit, binge-watch Netflix, take a nap, or do anything to escape the stress.
Avoiding action only perpetuates the cycle.
And before you know it, months or even years have passed, and now you feel powerless to change.
It’s never too late to make changes.
Sometimes, it's about pruning away the things that drain our vitality.
Ask yourself, what is that thing that if sucking the life out of your life right now?
Change is hard, and taking action can be challenging, but it's a responsibility we owe to ourselves.
It’s time to reevaluate priorities, cut out the negativity, and focus on the steps that will lead directly to the lives we truly desire.
